12/04/20 UPDATE:
COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION: We are excited to announce we have registered for the COVID-19 vaccine. Front line healthcare workers and residents of long term care facilities will be in the initial phase to receive the vaccine. As part of Operation Warp Speed the COVID-19 vaccine will be free to all citizens of the United States. We understand that many people have apprehension about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine but we feel confident in the FDA and CDC to provide a safe and effective vaccine and feel that this is the only way we can truly put this pandemic behind us.

4/10/UPDATE:
All American at Kingston has our first reported case of the coronavirus (COVID19).
On April 9, 2020, an employee was confirmed positive for the coronavirus (COVID19). This employee had limited contact with residents in the building and was not a direct care staff member. We immediately contacted state and local health authorities. We also immediately enacted our outbreak response plan which included increased monitoring of residents as well as staff. Health department and medical guidance will be followed to address the associates and others who had exposure to this individual.
We continue to closely monitor all residents and associates, taking residents and associates’ temperatures daily and restricting non-essential visitors to reduce the spread of the virus. All residents are receiving in room meals. Communal programming has been discontinued for all at this time until further notice.
Our home office and regional teams, as well as our local community leaders are working in tandem with local, state and national officials to take the precautions necessary to protect the health and safety of all our residents and associates. Every resident, family member and associate is an important part of the All American Assisted Living at Kingston family. This is a difficult time for all of us, and everyone is working to support one another.
We will continue to assess and adjust our protocols under the direction of state and local health authorities and will keep everyone updated on this situation.
4/1/20 UPDATE:
We want to share with you the updated steps we are taking with regard to the protection of our residents, team members and families during the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
Prevention is our first line of defense. We have protocols that our team members follow with regard to infection control. Many of you have seen some of these protocols implemented during previous flu seasons. We have taken immediate measures to limit contact and communal activities and to enhance normal sanitizing methods. While we have no indication of coronavirus in any of our communities, we have postponed outside events and appointments and visitors have been restricted. We continue to screen employees before each shift and residents are also screened.
Starting today, we have requested that all employees wear a mask while working. The employees come and go from the building and we want to take extra precautions to protect your loved one.
We continue to actively participate in updates with the local and state Departments of Health, as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) on the spread of the virus. We will continue to reinforce the same actions/habits used during the flu season to residents and team members for infection control.
It is important to note that the CDC is updating the public on the situation regularly. Their information is the best resource for answers to any questions about COVID-19. For more information, you can visit the CDC information page.
We will continue to update as necessary with emerging issues and new information as available. Thank you for your understanding and support.
